Oh, I also should add…you see all the new topics people are making all for the same issue, right? It’s almost like people are incapable of taking the time to search for answers to issues and never read anything that is given.
But tell me, should people have to reply to every single one of these topics? Especially if they are duplicate topics where answers have already been given?
And should they be left open for months or years, even when the current issue is resolved?
If you honestly think it should, I challenge you to try doing it for a while. I’ve been at it for over a year now and have come to realize people just don’t pay attention and it takes a lot of time and effort to reply to things. (Do keep in mind, I don’t work for Brave and don’t get paid for helping people here, so that’s at least one small influence on my opinion here)

Brave just lost my passwords after an update. The browser was freezing so I threw away all of my tabs, and after coming back up all of my passwords were gone.
I have all of the files backed up. Do I just need to restore my old 'Login Data' to get them back?
Up to yesterday, 07/25/24, all my stored passwords were there. This morning they were gone!
How do I get them back and what happened, please?

My laptop restarted after an automatic Windows update (July 23, 2024—KB5040525 (OS Build 19045.4717)). I went to a website with Brave that needed a login, passwords weren’t filling in. I checked in settings and all my login passwords are gone. In settings, absolutely no passwords. How can I recover them?
I log in every morning, This Morning I went to log in to a website that I had my password saved, now I looked in Password manager setting and all my saved sites and Passwords are all gone . WHy ? This is very frustrating.

Updated today to v1.68.128. All passwords gone. Can add password via CSV file, but they go away. Tried to add new password which appears in password manager, but does not enter passwords into fields when browsing.

Update: Close Brave, reopen, passwords gone.
Update: Apple Mac M2 Sonoma 14.5 appears to work. So this is a Windows 11 issue.
Update: Verified failure on second Windows 11 Pro system.

Not sure if I picked the correct category, but my passwords not only disappearing leaving me unable to log into the accounts I don’t know by heart, but even when I upload an old csv (which is missing several passwords), it disappears again after a few minutes. I have recently updated MacBook to Sonoma 14.5 That’s the one new difference I can think to report. PLEASE ADIVSE.

This morning when I went to bed the browser was working just fine, after just 8 hours I power up my PC and start Brave only for it to not even launch. After some research I did the Private Window idea, upon clicking on Extensions it crashes Brave. There are a bunch of errors in the Error// folder in brave, uploaded them though I do not know how to use that information here. This is getting quite frustrating.

Its a shame, I actually liked Brave. I’ve been using it for years then I come into work today and it wont launch. I did nothing. I closed my laptop lid and left for the day. I’ve been having this issue second day in a row. Yesterday I couldn’t open the browser, every time I tried, it opens for about 3 seconds, with all my tabs intact, but crashes right after. I can’t even close any tabs, it’s too quick. I uninstalled (without removing my data) and then installed it again and all worked fine. No issues and all my data loaded correctly.

My Brave Browser has not been opening since yesterday. My main profile always instantly crashes as soon as I open it. I created a new profile yesterday to be able to still use brave but my old profile still cannot open.

So today morning suddenly my browser won’t open, every time i click on the shortcut it displays a white screen for a few milliseconds and crashes. I looked up old solutions from the previous threads but nothing seems to work. The only way it opens is when I set --profile-directory="Test Profile" in Target Properties. Yesterday my Brave worked fine, however as of today the browser no longer starts. I click on the shortcut and it doesn’t open. I’ve checked in the windows task manager and it runs as a background process after double clicking, but the window never appears.

I’m not receiving them, even though I use Brave on my PC and Smartphone, my uphold wallet account is connected and I still don’t receive the rewards
I have an uphold account connected to brave and in brave it says that the payment has already been made but in uphold I have not received anything, the last payment received was in May 2023.
I still haven’t received my rewards for July… I wrote to support, but no one responded, and it’s been over a week. I usually received my rewards at the beginning of the month
