Improve Desktop Support "Community" function: Extend auto-closing topics from 30 days to 180 days

Description of the issue:
You close your support topics automatically after 30 days, hobbling one of the key functionalities of “community” forums: The ability to track a long-term issue through time.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Search for “Whitelist Cookies Functionality” You’ll see a number of topics related to this issue through time. These should be collapsed into a single topic thread that remains open through time until the issue is resolved. In one instance, Brave says in December 2018 that you will add cookie whilelisting. That’s nearly a year ago. What’s the current status?

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result:

Reproduces how often:
Always, until you change settings to not automatically close a ticket after 30 days of no activity.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Additional Information:

It’s a fair point. There is a tradeoff to be made between having zombie threads and capturing signal on an issue.

If we don’t allow the threads to live longer, there should probably be another mechanism to say ‘I agree and want to see action on this too.’

This topic was automatically closed 60 days after the last reply. New replies are no longer allowed.
