Description of the issue:
After downloading and installing the latest version of Brave Browser (v1.3.115) the ads portion of the the browser doesn’t seem to work. Within Brave settings all is configured correctly (ads set to 5 per hour, Brave rewards activated) and within Windows 10 have Focus Assist fully off. Brave does not appear in the list of “Get Notifications From These Apps”.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Download Brave on Win 10 machine
Install It
Ads don’t show, Brave doesn’t appear in Windows Notification section.
Expected result:
that Brave would display ads and appear in the “Get Notifications From These Apps” within Windows 10 settings.

Just started using Brave yesterday and as a browser it seems great, if could get the BAT side of it working too that would be ideal. Do see that there are a lot of support threads and that sync has been disabled in most recent release so perhaps this issue is related to that one but just opening ticket here so hopefully it can be resolved as doubt this Win10 machine is the only one impacted.

EDIT : So now, Brave appear in the notification area but I don’t have any ads appearing
(To make Brave appear here, when I create a subject on the forum a little message come on the top of the page and say “Do you want to put the notification on” say yes and that should work)
EDIT OF THE EDIT : I’ve change something in the notification and focus assist panel and I’ve got my first ad !! So here is my configuration I hope that can help someone
Hello, I have the same issue as pretty much everyone else here… No ads, and the application does not appear at the notification center. It seems that you have to trigger the little panel asking whether or not you allow or not like this one example on Chrome :
But when you want it to appear it just doesn’t come.
I am having the same problem, have been using for about 2 days and not seen any ads, brave is not showing up in notification section and I tried reinstalling but it did not change anything, brave is showing up in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but still does not show in notifications
