Brave creators doesn't want to pay me

This is the eighth topic that I share with you and I will show you that the delay is not due to the user but to the management of Brave and its support.
This is the message I received from the help desk

Hi there,

Thank you for your patience.

I have an update on the situation. From our team’s review, the amount you are seeing on your dashboard will need to be updated manually by our Creator team as it is not reflecting the accurate balance.

What you are seeing are old referrals. And we reject to inform you we are no longer payout out referral balances as we have sunsetted our referral program.

To avoid any confusion, our team would need to manually update your balance so you will see a more accurate balance. However, our team is currently unavailable at the moment. Once they are made available again, I will be sure to bump your issue again.

I understand this is not the news you wish to receive but we appreciate your patience throughout this process.

Best regards,
Brave Support

this is my answer

Dear Alfredo,

I sincerely appreciate your attention and the report on the actions carried out. It is evident that you are right to point out that, in the current year 2024, Brave is not remunerating for referrals, since this system is not currently enabled. This circumstance constitutes tangible support for my statement regarding the fruitless wait for payment corresponding to the referrals generated by my YouTube channel during the aforementioned period, since 2020.

Throughout this time, I have meticulously followed the instructions provided by the Brave team, which has resulted in this process continually dragging out month after month. Therefore, I want to state that the problem lies with Brave Creators and not with me or my Uphold account. In fact, the communication received from Uphold assures that my account does not present any irregularities and that the resolution of this matter corresponds directly to the Brave team.

It is evident that the Brave team is aware of the situation, as my account has been topped up with the original balance and previous payment records have been updated. According to my account, the payment is in process, so all that remains is to wait for said balance to be deposited into my Uphold account. All links between accounts are established correctly and there are no apparent errors.

I would like to express my gratitude for your effort and patience dedicated to resolving this case. My motivation lies in my desire to continue moving forward with content creation, and this pending payment will be a great help to invest in higher quality equipment for my channel.

Thank you again for keeping me informed of the actions taken and I will remain attentive to any future communication when the team is available.

I attach screenshots as evidence of the previous efforts carried out in 2020 and 2024.

I am attaching screenshots that prove that since 2020 Brave Creators has not generated the payment for me and now they are telling me this?

Since August 26, 2020, where the Brave Creators referral system was active and paying, I am still waiting for my payment, what else should I show them to prove that it is the Brave team that during all this time has withheld my money earned by referring my followers to use a service that was not remunerated to me.

The last topic I sent was in April to the support team and we are already in June, 2 months without any response and now I wake up today, June 1, 12 days after payment, with my account empty again??

For the past four years, I have been explaining my situation to you via email and have waited patiently, month after month, with no response. I am not doing this to cause inconvenience, but because I have worked hard on my channel, referring my users day and night, in the hope of receiving the long-awaited payment.

My goal in requesting this payment is none other than to continue investing in my content as a creator. This work is my passion and my livelihood, and the lack of compensation seriously affects my ability to continue producing quality content. I am also deeply concerned that others, like me, may have gone through this same situation and have remained silent. How many people, with the same hope as me, have seen their earnings snatched away without explanation?

I strongly ask that you consider my request and offer a fair resolution. Not only for me, but for all those who rely on fairness and recognition of dedicated effort.

@SrRuz I’m sure they have looked and are looking. At face value I can see your earliest topic here was in June 2022 at Uphold is reporting to us that your account connection where you only spoke about you getting the notice that the connection is out of date.

Then you posted again in March 2023 at Payment of Brave Rewards / YouTube where you finally showed a screenshot of 1363.24 BAT

Now you share screenshots showing even less BAT, with it being 1360.86 BAT and 1361.10 BAT. (did they do partial payouts or why are there differences?)

As to time stamps on your photos, it’s at least something but they can be easily faked. For example, a person can manually change the date on devices and take screenshots and it will show date as what we have. So as much as I see it, I’m very careful to make any assumptions of validity. I’d be more curious to see what Brave can notice about when the referrals were done and if it was something from after the cutoff date?

That said, referrals ended in 2020. Why did you not seek assistance on what you would say is BAT you didn’t receive for 2020, all of 2021, and part of 2022? That’s a long time to keep quiet. Or what is the earliest email you have of them responding to you on this if you had contacted earlier?

Thank you for your reply. I am attaching screenshots illustrating the Brave Creators account with the previous version, showing differences from its current status after the currency change, which was previously in USD and is now in BAT. In addition, it can be seen that the payment date used to be the 8th of each month, as indicated in the image, scheduled for September 8 of that year.

Regarding the period of inactivity of my account, this was due to it being blocked after the suspension of referral payments, without a clear reason. After a while, the account was unblocked and since then I have been researching possible solutions from the Brave team. At that time, I was unaware of the existence of Brave Community, which explains the long period mentioned by you. However, since February 13th this year, when the first payment was made to my account for 2,375 BAT, an incorrect amount given that my balance was higher, I have been receiving manual updates to my account, as directed by Alfredo, my contact from the Brave team, via email.

I am surprised that I am now being accused of fudging figures, when during this time I have meticulously followed the instructions provided by the Brave team, without obtaining a satisfactory solution. Their response, rather than help, seems to indicate a lack of interest in solving the problem.

That would be antifraud. I’m guessing they suspected you were abusing the referral program. As you can imagine, people were greatly abusing it to try to get the “free BAT.” Especially as the BAT given out then had some stipulations if I recall. Depending on the timeframe a lot of people had gotten promotional BAT which was actually not able to be withdrawn but instead only could be used for tipping and everything. It’s been a long time though and I can’t remember fully how all of that worked.

Weird. Any time you look for any support it does nothing but push you here to Community. But I guess if you weren’t really using the browser and only was after Creators, it could make sense. Anyway, not meaning to question on that too much but was sharing that it just wasn’t making sense to me. Then again, not all things make sense and not everyone pays much attention to the things available to them. So it is what it is.

If you’re referring to my comments, I want to be clear that I wasn’t accusing you. What I did do is try to share how I try to be cautious on jumping to conclusions. Ever since coming around to try to help other users here, I have seen people who have shared screenshots of things saying they earned something like 1,000 BAT in a single month. But then later admitted they had found the file and edited it to make it appear that way within the browser, claiming they did it only as a joke and not to commit fraud. So just was emphasizing that with people consistently finding ways to edit and create fake images, essentially leaving us all in a world where we can’t always take things presented to us at face value.

Side note, just to make sure there’s no misunderstanding…I’m another user and not anyone from Brave. I just spend a lot of time helping people and sometimes getting conversations going to lead to solutions. My replies sometimes just serve to bump topics so Support sees it and helps, other times it’s to get info to pass along to Support or one of the devs, and in others I’m able to find solutions to issues with/for people.

So yeah, everything said was just getting info and sharing concerns.

From what you’ve shared it seems they just are saying that there may have been a glitch or perhaps just because it’s been so long since it sunset that they can’t do anything with what you’re saying had gotten. At least it’s great to see they’ve been working with you and getting what they can to you.

If they wanted to “steal” it or not pay you, all they would have had to do is suspend the account and say it wouldn’t be reinstated. From there no further information would need to be provided and they’d essentially blow you off. The idea that it sounds like everything is active for you, you’ve gotten BAT, etc comes across to me like they have been doing all they can to do right by you.

I sincerely appreciate your diligent response to clarify the situation and communicate your perspective. I would like to now share my point of view, given that my main dedication is content creation. Since 2019, I have been an active creator with a channel that has 60,000 subscribers. This channel has been associated with my Brave Creators account since 2020, when I started recommending the browser. To this day, I still consider it the best in terms of efficiency and other services it offers.

At the time, I recommended Brave through the creator bonus program, whose compensation varied depending on the country of residence of the referred user and required these users to use the browser in order for the credits to be credited to my account. This explains why I have accumulated 1360.86 BAT, since my main audience is located in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and other countries in Latin America and the world. This amount varies significantly depending on the location of the referred user.

To be precise, 1360 BAT represents roughly 90-150 referrals back then, with 150 being the maximum to get this amount, statistics that the Brave Creators team can verify. I want to emphasize that my intention is not to confront, but to express my gratitude for their commitment to the community, providing guidance to users like me, who often need direction in this flourishing community around Brave.

The reason for my initial post is my growing monthly frustration, where the usual responses seem to be excuses and new problems rather than solutions. From the beginning, I have followed all the guidelines of the Brave Creators team, but the situation persists to this day. Today, June 18, 2024, I am responding to point out that the problem continues unchanged, with the status “generating payment” then postponed to the next month or even reverted without notice.

My only request to Brave Creators is to receive compensation for the work invested in referring users to the browser, funds that are essential to maintaining and improving my channel. I sincerely hope that we can resolve this situation and move forward in a positive way.

I’m assuming they are saying nothing more to be done. But let me tag in @steeven and @SaltyBanana to see if they have anything to add. I tend to lean more toward them on things related to Creators. Hopefully they’ll either be able to clarify things a bit more or get you assistance on what you’re wanting.

Thank you, I’ll be waiting

STEEVEN why are my 1360.86 BAT not in my account when I had reported it to you 12 days ago before this July 13th Brave Creators payment date? Which also didn’t happen because no TRANSFER arrived

You see bro why has it taken so long to solve this problem, simply nobody solves anything here or gives detailed solutions and this is so that you realize that it is useless to rack your brains trying to help other users when all they do is give irrelevant messages that do not result in anything and to receive another response you have to wait 1 to 2 months, there is a complete history of all my topics and nothing is solved, because for them we do not matter AT ALL, now my question is then what is the BRAVE COMMUNITY for when those who work and give the best answers are the users who want to make a difference and who give more authority and presence when answering than a BRAVE worker, in this order then they should pay the users who have this active community and like you give detailed answers and make known the problems of this Brave remuneration system, now I do not understand why they update the Brave Creators platform when in reality they are not even on the creator’s side, the only thing that the creator has is the name and the invitation to be part of something that doesn’t pay and is useless, or maybe the strategy was to update the platform to wash their hands of unresolved payments? Why do my BATs disappear overnight and no one notifies me of anything when they themselves send me messages saying that they are aware of any information and they don’t inform me of anything?

@SrRuz I know @steeven had said was sending you a DM and was going to look into things. Have you been speaking to him on the DM?

Hi @SrRuz, just reposting what I shared in our DM. I’ve reviewed your account history and correspondence over the past 4 years. The referral program was closed over 4 years ago, and all payments were made to non-suspended accounts at the time. Your referral account was suspended by our automated antifraud system as was communicated on September 28, 2020, which is why the payment was not made. Thank you.
