Posting information below that may be related. Does either of your devices have this feature or a similar feature enabled?

After completing a search on my brave browser on my phone, Chrome on my MAC picks up the search

@cbrown3, So what you’re seeing is the macOS “Handoff” feature and actually has nothing to do with either browser or either search engine. Basically, on your iPhone, you’re using a browser and the handoff feature detects this, and allows you to continue that work on your macOS using the default browser selected on the system — in your case, Chrome. If you were to turn off the “Handoff” feature, you would no longer see this behavior.

If the above is not related to your issue. You need to provide the Brave and OS versions for both devices found at brave://version additional information for community members and/or Brave support to help troubleshoot your issue.
