Same issue plenty of people seems to be experiencing. I had around 3 BAT in estimated rewards for this month, because I’ve received what feels like hundreds of ads, and they suddenly poof vanished to zero. C’mon guys, what the hell.
Apparently it’s not just disconnecting my wallet that caused this hiccup.
It isn’t, I didn’t perform any action with my wallet or rewards panel, I was just browsing and received a notification saying the BAT price was rising above 0.70 USD, so I went to check my estimated rewards in a new tab and… Nada.
I have the same problem, what is happening?
No clue, but as a dev, lemme look at their rewards repo on Git rq.
The rewards are reset at the beginning of every month. You’ll earn bat that you’ve accumulated till yesterday
Seems to be a problem that appeared just a couple of hours ago, this page will receive plenty more of posts like this. I hope it’s not some kind of rug pullying from Brave, I’ve really liked the browser so far.
And just to clarify, the estimated rewards disappeared without my wallet receiving anything, which is what other people is reporting as well. My payment date is only a week from now.
It’s ok–just the monthly reset. The Brave clock (whatever time zone that is) just rolled over to 1 August, and all of the July rewards have been taken out of the “Current earnings this month”. We should be seeing another line above that which shows how much will be added to our Brave Rewards wallets in the upcoming payout, but for some reason that message isn’t showing up.
Exactly, the transfer of rewards is always reflected in the movements of the wallet, but this time they just disappeared without leaving a trace.
That’s because they’re trying to make the display reflect more accurately what is happening. The issue is that the message with the upcoming payment isn’t showing up to show how much you’ll receive in the August payment.
ok, hopefully it is reflected and is not a bug
Haha! That’s the way most people here seem to feel whenever the devs change something, even if it’s for the better.
@styles666 @Vick007 Please read what I wrote above. The BAT are not lost; this is just the new way of displaying our pending rewards.
If this is what the Dev team intended I think it would have been much better had they notified Brave users of this new update instead of just changing the system without any type of update.
Of course seeing your numbers drop to 0 right before the end of the month is going to worry most users. A simple notification or news update would be very nice indeed.
They did tell us, but no one reads those announcements. Here’s the link:
I see, I don’t think most Brave users frequent their site. I was thinking a more integrated notification via the browser to let users know an update has been made.
Thanks for the link~
