The main purpose of the browser is privacy and safety, not Brave Rewards. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any in-browser announcement on ANY changes they have made.

@Thapaintrain Please read what I posted above… This is just the new way of displaying our pending rewards.
That’s because they probably never have done an in-browser notification. It was a suggestion so not to confuse or cause mass concern.
Also, I understand the sole purpose of Brave. Which is why I support it. However, Brave rewards is STILL an integral part of the browser as decentralizing ads means someone is going to lose money. Hence the rewards. Cheers

MIne is zero too. Since it will reset on the first day of the month. And I have not received a single ad today so far. Well, I’m not worried because all the previous earnings are recorded. See my SS:

It appears that many of us did NOT get that message, which is why so many people are worried.

I fully expected to see that countdown timer in the new update, but it’s not there even though I have the update. What type of device are you using? Maybe that’s the difference?

Update: I can now see the message @rosiecar was talking about, so it’ll probably appear for those with the same issue as mine soon.
I agree with @LiquidSpin that an in-browser or in-app notification would’ve been useful as well, besides the post Rosie linked.

The countdown just appeared on my Android tablet. It’s a few minute ahead of my Windows and Linux desktops. Maybe the countdown works off of the device time and appears at midnight on the 1st of the month.
UPDATE: The counter is visible on all my devices, and the “ads received this month” counter has also reset. My hypothesis was correct: those trigger at midnight (device time) on the 1st of the month.

It’s really not that important to add notifications for every single change if you think about it. The fact that this new feature (or detriment for most, lol) made a good chunk of the user base aware that the forums existed is a good thing. It really disappoints me that most people just use Brave for the rewards feature, though.

No it isn’t. My 14 disappeared a few days ago. Now it says I’m only getting 2 in 7 days. We were rug pulled. Brave team thinks they’re slick.

Well, it does show 0.6825 BAT coming in 7 days. But before that, I had more than 3 BAT at least in pending rewards
