Hello to all. I am new here. I have some specific software which only runs on Windows 7 and have kept this PC using the last updated for Windows 7. Up until yesterday Brave worked fine. Now sometimes when I do a Google search from the taskbar the search opens and then Brave crashes. This also happens if I click on a Youtube link in Facebook. I have disabled all the extensions…no joy. Hardware acceleration was never enabled on this PC. I have scanned the PC for malware…no problems. I uninstalled Brave and then reinstalled the last Windows 7 compatible version and the problem persists. Can anyone help? I love Brave and don’t want to delete it.
P.S. When I try to send a crash report clicking on “send” does nothing. This is the context:

Looks like other users are seeing this as well. Can you test and see if turning Brave’s Shields off (in settings/shields) fixes the issue?
This is because you are using things that aren’t supported.
There’s not going to be a lot of help for Windows 7 and older versions of Brave. They have all been sunsetted and are now unsupported. As you can imagine, unsupported means no tech support to help you figure out issues and there certainly won’t be any patches or updates to fix things.
The most you can do is basic troubleshooting, such as attempting to create new profiles, getting rid of extensions, disabling Shields, etc.

No luck dropping the shields. I tried a system restore and that changed nothing as well. This has got me flummoxed. I am wondering if some patch was pushed through from Brave to kill any Windows 7 installation. I hope this isn’t the case. I just can’t upgrade to Windows 10 on this system as I will lose two programs which will not work in 10. What a mess! Thanks for the helpful suggestions. If any of you can think of anything else I would be grateful and all ears!

Sempre quando eu acesso o site o navegador fecha sozinho. A mesma situação também ocorre eu faço as pesquisas no Google e quando a indicações que contenham links que direcionam para o Youtube.
Peço ajuda para poder resolver esse problema.

Holla! Hablo mui poco. Por hablar portugues Yo entiendo um poco del español. Los dos idiomas son mui próximos, mas, con muchas diferenças. 
Esse problema começou ontem. Passei antivírus, mexi nas configurações do Brave, reiniciei o PC e nenhum resultado. E pra piorar, eu ainda estou no Windows 7. O Brave já não faz a manutenção para esse SO faz tempo.
Este é um problema conhecido actualmente. Tem a ver com uma atualização recente do Brave Shields que afeta todas as versões do Brave em todos os sistemas operacionais. Infelizmente, não há nada que possamos fazer, exceto esperar até que eles consertem com outra atualização.

Since yesterday Brave just crashes when opening YouTube with Shield blocking ads and trackers. When allowing all trackers and ads YouTube works perfectly fine. Shield still works on other sites with way more ads and popups. Even if YouTube updated their ad System to try to get people to turn off their ad blockers, why is Brave crashing? The Kiwi Browser for example, which is almost identical to Brave, doesn’t crash when turning on the in build ad blocker, although it isn’t blocking ads, but at least there I can download extensions, in the same way I can on the desktop version of Brave.
Keep a watch on this thread. Same issue.

Yes I know that, but most of the people there are reporting on the desktop versions of brave with the common advice to just disable shields and use an extension, but seeing as Brave Mobiles doesn’t support extensions I specifically opened this thread

I am talking about Android though and the fact that other android browsers that are very similar to Brave don’t crash when turning on their in-build adblockers. I mean even Ublock Origin on Kiwi Browser for example isn’t blocking everything right now, as they haven’t updated to the new YouTube ads, but it isn’t crashing when I have it on.
