Ok sorry I am new to this
I am using IOS 15.1 both iPhone and iPad,
And brave 1.37 (22 4 6 8)
The problem is very repeatable as when browsing privately website data is still being collected.
What ‘website data’ is still being collected?
How are you observing that ‘website data’?
Just so you know, there are many websites, that you may visit and find that ‘website data’ continues to be downloaded from the website (and its associated servers / other websites assisting).
Thanks for contacting me back.
The website date is cache , cookies and local date, I am surprised as in private mode I would have thought this should not be recorded
Thanks
Some of that data is temporal, when using Brave Browser > New Private Window.
But a user might improve on the clearing of it, or inhibit clearing it, depending upon various Brave Browser > Settings.
In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData
. . . and look over the settings for the Advanced and On exit tabs.
In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/cookies
- Enable:
Block third-party cookies
- Disable:
Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows
- Remove all:
Sites that clear cookies when you close them
Those are my choices, based upon experience.
I prefer manually clearing cache, cookies, and site data, when I suspect that I should:
Return to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData
For tab Basic - set:
Time range:All time
- Enable:
Browsing history
- Enable:
Cookies and other site data
(Signs you out of most sites) - Enable:
Cached images and files
Click on the “Clear data” button.
(The “Clear data” button also saves the selections.)
