I recently changed my default search engine to DuckDuckGo. Today, I’m unable to revert back to my original search engine which was Google. Additionally, I cannot change from DuckDuckGo at all. The drop-down menu doesn’t have any choices and I cannot create one manually.

No, I already tried that. It won’t work for me.
then open google.com or any search engine you like in new tab and search for anything on it then wait a little then go to setting then Search engine then Manage search engines
you will find google on the list down side then click on the 3 vertical dot then set as default
