Reinstall search engines

I deleted all but google on my search engines how do i get the others back???

What device and OS are you using?
What Brave version?

If you are on a Desktop, if you go directly to the search engine that you want to use, i.e duckduckgo.com, it will appear in your Search Engines.

Go to Menu icon → Settings.
Look to the left sidebar and click on Search engine.
Click on Manage search engines
And under Other search engines, you will see duckduckgo as an option to make as default.

Do this with the search engine of your preference.

thank you, i have added back the search engines on other but when i try to set one of the other search engines the default selection is grayed out?

Hey @jlhillhouse ! Sorry for the delayed response.

The issue is that when you add a new search engine, Brave needs to know how to use it.

Click on the 3 button menu for Ask and click on edit.
On the pop up that appears, look for the URL with %s in place of query field.
In the textbox, enter this :
https://www.ask.com/web?o=0&l=dir&qo=serpSearchTopBox&q=%s

You should be able to make Ask.com your default search engine.

Try opening up a new profile and seeing if you can add Ask in that. If anything, what GreenBananaPorridge was referring to should look like this:
