Trouble using Brave VPN

I just signed up for the BRAVE VPN free trial, but am unable to enable it. I get to the point where I have a banner on my account page that says “Your subscription is confirmed. Final step, click the ‘Refresh’ button to load your credentials and begin using Brave VPN.” But clicking the refresh button does nothing. The VPN icon in the toolbar still shows (-) and has the same “Start Free Trail” message. What are my next steps to try to get the VPN working?

Note: clicking the “Refresh Brave VPN” button also does not help. Neither does restarting browser or computer.

Also, this seems like it might be something where I need a support ticket. How do I submit a support ticket?
