Description of the issue:

I’ve used Brave browser with http authentication sites for the last 6 months with no issues. Today when I go to access a site that is secured with http authentication, I get a blank screen and don’t get the sign in prompt. Note if I login in a private window, I do get the prompt.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Go to http authenticated site. Example: http://staging.bumpy-wing.flywheelsites.com/

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Blank screen, no sign in prompt.

One more thing to try would be to see if it works in Firefox.

Chromium has a bug parsing some HTTP basic auth headers: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=872772
