Netflix/HBO/etc Autoplay Not Working

Briefly describe your issue:

HBO Max, Netflix, etc. do not autoplay the next episode. I’ve tried clearing cache, allowing the sites to autoplay, checking that autoplay is enabled in Brave settings, turning off shield, turning off everything. Nothing allows the sites to autoplay the next episode of a series. I switched to Google Chrome and instantly autoplay works.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using? (Menu --> Help --> About Brave)
Windows 11, Brave Version 1.73.104, Chromium 131.0.6778.204

Test:

  • disable extensions ( and maybe remove them )
  • new Brave Browser Profile (create for testing)
  • disable hardware / graphics acceleration

Maybe . . . reset of:

brave://flags
