Netflix and widewinecdm

I tried to watch Netflix on Brave version 0.58.18 Chromium: 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit), Windows 10.

Netflix complains that there is a missing component, widewinecdm, and asks me to update it. But there is no such component.

Searched Netflix community and found a year-old thread with no obvious solution, or the suggested solutions did not work on the latest version (Dec 26, 2018).

So, what works?
