For the past day I have been trying to figure out why the browser is instantly closing upon startup. I have renamed the file in C:\Users%userprofile%\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware to Brave-Software-old and that seemed to work although making an entirely new profile. I backed up my old user data and tried inserting it into the new profile, causing it to crash instantly. I have tried fresh installs and even tried to run a shortcut using (–no-experiments) as I saw others having problems because of the vertical taskbars(which I was using) and they recommended to do as such. I wish to be able to use my old profile and not have to create a new one to use the browser.
