Description of the issue:
Logging in to internet banking site (https://identity.tescobank.com/pf/adapter2adapter.ping), at the password entry boxes there is up to 15 seconds delay before I am able to enter numbers

doesnt happen on any other browsers
with the shield off I can SOMETIMES click on a box straight away but it still wont let me actually enter a number
I have toggled all the options under the shields with no joy
Apart from Bitwarden there are no other extensions loaded

Unfortunately as I/we do not have an account there it is hard for us to test. My first thought was to drop Shields but it looks like you’ve already tried that with varying results. The behavior is certainly interesting since it’s just a delay and it doesn’t completely prevent you from entering the information.
I’d be curious to see what the dev tools console looks like when you’re trying to enter these numbers. Can you try to reproduce the issue with the dev tools console window open (
Menu --> More tools --> Dev tools --> Console tab) and then share a screenshot of any output that appears in the console?

That’s not something we can do unfortunately (privacy issue). Additionally, you have everything right on the screenshot above, but you have captured the
Elements tab, rather than the
Console tab (next tab over in the dev tools window, highlighted below):
This happens when I try to log in my HSBC account and also my Halfax and Barclaycard accounts. Chrome has no problem.

I too can use other browsers without any issues but I really would like to use Brave for everything!
Should I be notified by email if someone replies?.. if so I am no getting it hence the delay in replying
Only if you have that in your settings. Here’s what you have to look at.
- Towards the bottom of a Topic, you can select notification type on that. Choices as you can see in screenshot:
- This is more important in terms of email. Go to your Settings for the site. It will be something like https://community.brave.com/u/davidwf/preferences/account Not sure if the link will work for you. If not, click on your profile picture on the top right of Brave Community where your notification usually show, click the tab on the far right, then click on Preferences.
From there, click on Emails and set it to whichever you want. If you always want to see an email, it might be best to put Always. The
Only When Away will work but it’s intermittent.
That’s notifications, that’s not Email. You should have a separate thing for email, to dictate what it sends and when. Otherwise notifications just are the little red circles with number in it here on the site.
Since moving to Brave I have the same problem at Login to my HSBC account with longish delays at each stage. Was not an issue before with Vivaldi. It’s the only site where this occurs.
