Latest Version keeps forgetting login details

using Brave is up to date; Version 1.76.74 Chromium: 134.0.6998.89 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Have been using Brave for 9 months or so, WAS very impressed, HOWEVER
Over last week noticed that Banks logins need username and IGNORE the ‘Remember Me’ option, so next login have to enter details AND go through the OTP every time.
My GP software access keeps messing up the internal share permissions and these have to be reset daily, in desperation have returned to Google Chrome and guess what, worksd first time.
Something has changed very much for the worse in the latest upgrade, please sort out or revert

Brave Community Ninja @Saoiray probably can help you sort out the Sync and problematic-login issues - and steps to take.

When you post / reply here, at the Brave Community, please give details, be specific, so that, whomever helps you, does not have to unravel “GP” and “OTP” (for examples) and usage of “it” (for example).

@DuggleBB banks usually are a lot more secure and picky on logins. I’m not sure if you’re doing anything that might be clearing cookies, which would clearly contribute. But the other issue at hand is Brave randomizes its fingerprint. If you have Shields enabled for your banking website then that randomization might have it appearing enough as if it’s a new device, leading them to prompt you as you are.

I guess would ask you if disabling Shields on your banking site(s) might make a difference? Also make sure you verify that you’re not doing anything that would clear cookies/cache, such as to delete the data on exit.

Thanks but something has definitely changed in the last couple of weeks, I’ve been using Brave with no problems for more than six months, it’s only in the last couple of weeks this has started occurring.

Also my internet login access to my Doctor Surgery now reports that I have not given the NHS permissions to share details with the surgery, this has ONLY started in last two weeks. Had the surgery reset everything, worked once then stopped again.

If I use Chrome it works OK so finger HAS to point to Brave
