Description of the issue:
When loading a new page or reloading idle tab, the page flashes white before going dark. This happens when using night theme and with sites which are natively dark too.
It’s very annoying when using phone in low light environment.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Load a page
Reload idle tab
Expected result:
Page should be dark while loading (like it is in Safari)

Be Prepared
Clear cookies, cache, history, etc.
ENABLE everything except:
Passwords and other sign-in data
(Myself, I would NOT make that exception)
(because I would have a backup prepared.)
(In other words, be prepared .)
Click on the “Clear data” button

The link doesn’t work on ios so i reset all settings from the menu, but it didn’t improve anything.
I also reinstalled brave, but that didn’t fix it either

Apologies, I corrected my earlier reply.
I use Brave Browser (iOS) and the Brave Browser Private Browsing Only mode. I set the Brave Browser Settings to be conservative.
And then use Brave Shields to make necessary site-specific changes.
Tips regarding Brave Shields:
I have more success, with:
Brave Shields UP
Either Allow All Cookies or Block 3rd Party Cookies, but NOT Blocking All Cookies
Allowing JavaScripts from specific sources, but NOT Allowing All JavaScripts
Trackers & Ads treatment: Aggressive (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
Fingerprinting (aka footprinting) blocking: Strict (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
I almost NEVER use:
All of Brave Shields UP
All of Brave Shields DOWN

Shields Basics
How do I configure global and site-specific Shields settings?
Shields protects you from tracking on the web but can sometimes cause sites to break. If your general Shields settings break a site, you can use the Shields panel to turn Shields off for that site,...
How do I use Shields while browsing?

@Mattches I spoke to OP in DM and then went to replicate. Created Github below. Figured I’d tag you in so you can have eyes on it and if is anyone should ping, figured you can help with that.

### Description
While Brave is set to Night Mode and appearance to Dark, a whit… e "flash" appears when loading content in a tab for the first time or reopening the browser.
Once the flash occurs, it behaves as expected for the rest of the session. However, it happens again if you open a new tab or exit and relaunch the browser.
### Steps to reproduce
Scenario 1: Opening a new tab
1. Set Brave to Dark Mode and enable Night Mode (on iOS).
2. Open a new tab.
3. Navigate to a website.
Scenario 2: Reopening Brave
1. Ensure tabs are already open, with Dark/Night mode enabled.
2. Dismiss Brave (swipe away from app switcher).
3. Reopen Brave.
4. The first tab loaded will flash white.
### Actual result
The screen temporarily flashes bright white before loading content.
