Bright screen when loading bookmarks/sites in Darkmode

Description of the issue:
When in Dark mode, switching to any site (dark mode enabled or not) results in a bright white screen first, followed by the actual site. This makes for a difficult time using brave at night (in bed) where my partner gets distrubed by the bright flashes emanating from my iPhone.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enable Darkmode in Brave (match OS theme).
  2. Visit any page (say a book mark) right after the browser is started.
  3. Observe flash of bright white screen until destination site starts to load.

Expected result:
I would expect that there would be no bright screen during the transition from a bookmark to the destination site.

1.33 (21.12.14.16)

Mobile Device details
iPhone X - iOS 15.2

Additional Information:
Seems similar to issue #75392 [link] but not entirely sure that this is the same issue re-occurring.
