@Harizio,
I’ve been trying to reproduce this on both Windows and macOS and cannot seem to do so. Pressing Enter twice, three times or mashing the button a million times always simply runs the search and lands me on the results page for whatever the query I entered is.

After some testing it seems to only happen in private or guest windows.
Regular windows work as expected.

@Mattches I tested this on my desktop with version 1.69.162. It seems like a very specific sequence needed to produce the issue. To replicate, I opened a private window, typed something, and hit Enter quickly twice in a row. It then goes to Brave Search, even if another search engine is set, and just shows the Brave Search landing page without searching for what I typed.

This only happens right after opening a private window. If I navigate somewhere or let the redirect happen once, it doesn’t occur again until I close and reopen a private window.

NOTE
Just before submitting, also just tested and can replicate on Nightly.

@Saoiray thanks for the clarification. I can in fact reproduce this — I missed the part in the initial report stating that it happens only in Private windows. Can repro on both OS — filing an issue now.
