Call from phone does not work

Description of the issue:
“href=tel:” Call from phone does not work
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Visit a website with a telephone link. Right click on link and select Call from Phone from Menu.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

“Couldn’t share number. Something went wrong. Try again later.”
Expected result:
Pushes phone number to Android dialer
Reproduces how often:
Always
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Version 1.26.74 Chromium: 91.0.4472.124 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Mac OS Catalina 10.15.17 + Android 11
Additional Information:
I’ve checked the community and saw many posts from users with the same problem but no recommendations for how to troubleshoot. I’ve had this problem on multiple versions of Brave, two different phones, and tried unsyncing, resyncing many times.

I’m not quite clear on what OS it is that you’re using here – are you on an Android device tapping a phone number in Brave, or on macOS?

I do not see an option on my end to send any phone number (linked or text) to my Android device. Can you please provide some exact steps/sites that I can use to test this?

Yes, the prerequisite is that the two devices must be synced first.

How do I set up Sync?

Other than that all it takes is the steps in the first post.

Also, the phone number in your screenshot doesn’t look like it is a link. It has to be a tel link. In html it’ll look like <a href="tel:555-867-5309>555-867-5309</a>
