Hi I just made new fresh install of Brave (WIN 10) on my new computer. After reading related posts here I also moved this folder C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data to the new location but unfortunately all passwords are encrypted.
Anyone can help please?
You can manually import and export your passwords from previous installation. See Import Password. The steps are similar.
Well i would definitely do that but unfortunately my old installation is not available the only think i have is the UserData folder.
Then I believe it’s not possible. Passwords is saved on your device – protected on the OS level because Brave utilize the OS keychain (if that the correct term) to store the passwords.

What location did you move the folders?
Well I’m using Brave portable now so i moved it to “data” folder: https://portapps.io/app/brave-portable/
So currently you are trying to use the installed browser profile folder by moving it into a data folder and trying to launch via the portable app if I understand correctly?
Yes correct - I was once successful doing this but then our security team strikes again. So I just rename the exe file and now the passwords are gone. All the rest like cookies, open tabs, bookmarks are working.
