After updating to the latest version bookmarks bar has gone from the new tab page. If you turn ON to show bookmarks then it comes on all web pages too and that’s really very annoying. I request the brave developers to do something about it…

@m_z_shan thanks for the feedback. The team is already aware of this and working on the option.
For now you can use Ctrl+Shift+B to hide/unhide bookmarks bar.
