It is a good page to start with, a customisable search bar where search engine can be changes by changing search icons. Though, google dominates the field, every now and than its useful to deploy other search engines like duckduckgo or bing or the privacy focused swisscows and qwant. In my opinion its a good idea, and this is why i use vivaldi at times. I would love to see the same for brave.

I understand what you talking about but right now that the option is to the default search engine in the setting and it also available to add others and duckduckgo and qwant and other already exist you can choose from
here you can manage all of that
brave://settings/search
and have a nice day
