With the newest update: Version 0.68.138 Chromium: 77.0.3865.75 (Official Build) (32-bit) every time a magnet link is clicked I get a pop up to use it. It used a one time deal the first time I opened Brave, after that they just opened.
Using Win 7. You can see in my pic the check box is gone.
