I have the same problem. waiting for a solution, using tor browser is not helpful because it is make the browsing too slow in my country.

But, you can only use TOR for https://web.whatsapp.com/, on other sites you can use the “normal window”. However, this solution is very annoying, for this reason, since you always have to have two “brave window” to be able to work.

Has anyone been able to find the specific setting that’s causing the issue? Resetting to default seems like too much of hassle.

Does it work in private window mode?

Only private window with tor, regular incognito shows the same issue.

this problem is from whatsapp app and every one is facing this issue

It works with firefox and chrome…

Testing in the latest Brave release build Version 1.39.122 (shields up).

Logged out twice, and logged in (using a QR code scanning with smart phone).

  • I would test clearing the cookies/cache in brave://settings/clearBrowserData then restart Brave.
  • Disable any VPN software on browser and phone.
  • Disable Secure DNS brave://settings/security if applicable
  • Test in a new browser profile.
