Hey guys, can anyone help me out, I recently updated my Brave Browser and now I can’t use my vpn without getting constant disconnections. I live in China so we use VPN a lot to use Youtube and stuff, so now whenever I am using brave with my vpn on, after a couple of seconds the vpn will just disconnect (I dont use Brave’s native vpn, that one I turn off, I use V2box). Anyone knows what could I do to solve the issue? I tried deleting cookies, extensions, turning off shields etc, but nothing really worked so far.

I suspect that there is a VPN traffic jam.
Also, some VPNs connect the customer to more than 1 VPN server; meaning, your computer connects to 2 VPN servers and uses both servers - for example.
Anyway, first suspect is VPN traffic, and not enough VPN servers . . . and probably not enough Internet pipelines for those VPN servers to reach the world beyond China.
I have updated the brave versiona nd os system. This problem only started after I moved out to a new apartment, brave updated itself same did my mac. It works well with Safari, only has this issue with brave. When I turn off Shields on youtube, as long as I’m only using youtube its fine. But if I turn the shields off for everything else it doesn’t quite work well with other sites. SO I still have no idea what is it and how to fix it.

@tolyts just to confirm, you are saying there is no issue if you have Shields off but if you turn it on then you have issues with the VPN?
I have NordVPN and ProtonVPN i use NordVPN if i am streaming movies and ProtonVPN at work. I didnt have any issues with my VPN and i am using it 8-10 hours at a time, so im pretty sure your VPN Provider must have some issues with either their extension or server.
If you want to test your vpn you could test it in other browsers maybe ff and check if it works there since it uses another browser engine or you could try out Proton since it has a free tier just to check if all VPNs are broken for you.
