Video flashes 1 sec fine 1 sec distorted

**Description of the issue:
In the Brave Browser, video plays in a flashing manner, 1 second normal, one second distorted, repeating that condition endlessly. Audio is normal always.

The distorted video has vertical bars of various colors spaced across the screen from left to right. In between the vertical bars are a sea of diamond shapes obscuring the video. The distorted video is not stable; it shimmers and flashes.

At the bottom of this trouble ticket I will attempt to upload a screen capture of the condition. **

**Reproduced by opening the browser. Any video you select to run; or any video that auto-runs, will display the issue.

Issue only occurs in the Brave Browser. Microsoft Edge runs video properly.**

  1. I bought & set up a new Windows 10 laptop (details below) to replace my old laptop. I installed Brave to be my primary browser (just like it was on my old laptop).
  2. Video plays normally on all other browsers on the new laptop (such as Edge).
  3. The error occurs on video from all sources: youtube; amazon prime; any news feed; any web page; and so on.

Expected result: Normal, clear video playback

Can you re-test with Hardware acceleration disabled via brave://settings/system @ErnieErnie

Fixed! Turned off Brave/Hardware Acceleration; problem resolved. Thank you very much!
