Is there a full installer anywhere for v1.46 for win7 64bit? I tried to reinstall brave after removing it because I was being forced to watch youtube adds again. Now can’t get it to install at all… tells me no update available.
@Patrick909 so got it installed from there and everything resolved?

Yes, ah well, I got it installed and working, but the youtube adds are back with a bang despite these efforts!! So after all that I have brave again but youtube is unusable on this old machine because of adds. The adds started yesterday randomly… all videos too .
The new version on android phone works very well for me though… I’ll have to upgrade the lap top by the looks of things now.
@Patrick909 main thing is try to see if you have components updated at brave://components and try to have things active as close to screenshots below as best you can. I’m showing screenshot of current so yours will differ a bit, but you should still have most options in different format.
Beyond that though, you are right in that there’s been a lot of extra protections added into newer versions of Brave that isn’t available for outdated OS. Eventually may encounter scenarios like with YouTube where older version just won’t be able to have as much impact due to lacking ability for certain types of filter rules. So updating OS and Brave when able would be great.

thanks, tried those configurations… Thought it helped for a little while but eventually adds came back. I’ve added ublock ext onto it to see if it helps.
