Cannot install 32-bit brave browser in Win7

Description of the issue:
Downloaded 32bit Win version of brave browser an launched install file. It appeared to be working then stopped and a dialogue box with the statement “No update is available”. Install never finished. This is to a fresh Win7 desktop install. See attachment.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Don’t know how it can be reproduced unless you have a Win7 sandbox.

Expected result: Hope to get brave browser installed and working.

**Brave Version( check About Brave): Don’t know; it’s not installed, it’s not in the install executable file, it’s not on the download page. Why NOT???
Brave Install Error 1

Windows 7 is now 14 years old and has been out of support for over three years – unless you’re an Enterprise who had deep pockets to pay for special support (which has also ended now).

Windows 7 Support Start Date:
22 Oct 2009

Windows 7 Mainstream Support End Date:
13 Jan 2015

Windows 7 Extended Support End Date:
14 Jan 2020

Therefore, from Brave version 1.47 (Chromium 109), Windows 7 is no longer supported. You’ll need to have a machine running Windows 10 or later. See the below link.

Depending on your device, you may still be able to unofficially upgrade to Windows 10 for free, but it’s not technically supported by Microsoft – as the Windows 10 free upgrade was supposed to be time limited to a year.
