Windows 7 64 support in 2024

I need a standalone version of Brave that still works on Win 7 64 in current (2024) year.

Do not tell me that it is no longer supported, I don’t care, I want an old version.
Do not send me to GitHub, that method does not work, I need the actual installer, not something that tells me that “no updates are available” and refuses to install what I want.

Do not tell me to upgrade to Windows 11, don’t even waste your breath.

Do not warn me about “security risks” I DON’T CARE. I WILL JUGGLE KNIVES IF I LIKE, YOUR JOB IS TO HAND ME THE KNIVES, NOT STOP ME.

@_Jaybee,
Well you have to be sent to Github because that is where all of our old releases are. You can find the last supported version here:

I believe you’ll want the BraveBrowserStandAloneSetup.exe.

@_Jaybee the Github has the installer. It’s weird how you’re aware of something but act like it’s not the solution.

That’s because you can’t run the current installer. You need to run the older one for the last supported version. You also need to make sure you’re choosing the one that’s appropriate for your OS.

For what it’s worth, there’s been a lot of discussion on this if you had looked for things. I even have an article about it in the pinned Help guide, which you can see at How to install Brave on Windows 7 and 8

Ah good, I’ll have a look… same issue as OP. Cheers
