Unable to sync a mobile device

Description of the issue:

I am unable to add my phone to my Brave Sync Chain. Whenever I attempt to add a Phone/Tablet, the browser window closes.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go into browser settings > Sync > Manage your synced devices
  2. Click add new device
  3. Click phone/tablet

Expected result:

The expected result is i’m successfully able to add my phone to my sync chain. However, when I try to add it, the browser window closes.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

v 1.61.120

Just to make sure I understand what is happening here, are you saying that after selecting to add a Phone/tablet device to the chain, does the QR code display and then close itself? Or are you saying that the entire browser window closes itself?

After I click on “Add New Device,” and then “Phone/Tablet,” all browser windows close.
