TOR connection does not established (Disconnected)

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Alt + Shift + N (Opening TOR windows)

or

  1. Find the “Hamburger Menu” at the top right of the browser windows. / Alt + F
  2. Click “New private window with Tor”.

Expected result:
TOR connection is not established and always appear to be “Disconnected”.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Additional Information:

  • This issue can’t be solved using the suggested workaround which is to disable and re-enabled it again in the setting.
  • The “New private window with Tor” does not try to establish a Tor connection. It appears “Disconnected” since the new windows is launched.

Check these

  1. Open brave://settings/extensions and enable Private window with Tor
  2. Check firewall (allow tor in your firewall)

Additionally, if you launch the tor window, then go to brave://components (in normal Window) do you see the tor component listed here (example below):
