Tab playing audio has speaker icon - I go to mute it and it jumps aside for the X - I accidentally close the tab

I have a tab that’s playing audio. There’s a speaker icon in the tab. I want to mute (or unmute) the tab. As I hover my pointer on the speaker icon it jumps aside and the X suddenly appears in its place, and I accidentally close the tab. It’s an annoyance. Maybe have the speaker icon on the left side of the tab?

THIS! I’ve had the same issue. It’s because the Mute button & the Close Tab button share the same icon space within a tab. The way I get around this issue is to have fewer tabs open. This creates more space on each tab. Then I can close some & mute others. When the tabs are too bunched together, the space is collapsed. The mute & close tab icons overlap.
