Sync won't even begin to work

Each time I try to add a “new device” to the other, I have an iMac, and Macbook Pro, that I’m trying to get in sync. Each device just gives me a long code, then says open on the other device, and
“On your target computer, navigate to Brave Sync in settings and click the button “I have a Sync Code”. Enter the sync chain code words shown below”

However, there is no button that says “I have a Sync Code” on EITHER computer, just the same thing on both, which gets me nowhere. What is going on here? this is like some kind of endless loop, as there’s no way to link the two! I thought after updating this might have been fixed, but it’s obviously not.

How do I ever enter the code if neither device asks for it, but only gives me one?

I meet the same problem. I’ve synced 5 devices so far and this would be my 6th device. What is the problem? I’ve tried on other devices and it does work to add one more device. It’s just that it doesn’t work on this specific device, a Windows laptop.

The thing that occurs in my case is that when I hit sync… nothing syncs… it stays the same as before, unlike all my other devices.

"Sync Chain Code
On your target computer, navigate to Brave Sync in settings and click the button “I have a Sync Code”. Enter the sync chain code words shown below. "

Those are the instructions, but whether I open the Sync on my iMac or Macbook Pro, it says the same thing, and there IS NO “I have a Sync Code” button anywhere to be found!
