Suddenly getting "Ad blockers are not allowed on YouTube"

I have one trick to avoid ad detection, which may be a little bit of an annoying task. Here is what I found :
1 . Keep open the youtube in the main window with an account signed in, an adblocker removed,
2. Open a private window,
3. Copy the link of the video which you want to see from the main window to the private window, and enjoy without ads!

Today I started to suffer this when I try to watch YouTube videos:

At least I can close the message but it’s annoying of course…
Using Brave Browser
VersiĂłn 1.59.117 Chromium: 118.0.5993.70 (Build oficial) (64 bits)
on Windows 10 as you people can see.
I have installed 1 extension called “Image downloader” only. I installed it a lot of months ago so I don’t believe the extension is the fault one.

sorry again but how would i import my setting?

Can we block the pop-up script?

that has never worked for me, since this all started.

I’m now getting the “Turn off adblockers” and i’m not even signed into my account, so it’s officially blocking anyone and everyone. account or no account logged in.

Personally, as much as i love youtube, i may just switch to twitch or something permanently now. Unless, somehow the ads get better in general on youtube.

Because it’s getting annoying and I don’t want to activate block scripts because of that. Because it stops videos playing.

I am all up to date, no extensions, and now YT won’t function at all while logged in or not in private tab. Just started today.

@Doskiie have you made sure to go to brave://components and update everything there? If not, please try that and see if it makes a difference.

That’s literally the first thing i said

Just want to point out you mentioned I am all up to date. This could have just meant with browser update or something else. You didn’t mention components and so I just wanted to make sure to check.

One thing I try to be very cautious of after helping out around here for a couple years it that it’s never good to make an assumption of what someone meant. So if I don’t see specific phrase, I’ll make sure to ask.

Happens regularly because currently Google is changing filters daily to counter adblockers. We fix them as soon as we can, may require a manual update in brave://components to get the most recent fix faster.

I said I was up to date. This whole thread explains updating Brave and all components. There was zero need to be specific, about what was up to date.

One thing. Dont assume someone else has not been here as long as you if not longer. I dont need or want your lectures @Saoiray

@Doskiie what I said is you can’t assume and I wasn’t going to put words in your mouth. And an example of where I say I learned not to assume is like below:

So on this person, people assumed. I asked if they had any extensions that might be blocking. They answered no. But they really did have one!!!

Things like this happen on a regular. And I’d be willing to bet you’re doing something just like that, where you’re assuming and omitting information on what’s actually causing your problem. Then you get angry with people when they start asking questions to try to figure things out and resolve it.

Get over your ego guy. I dont care what excuse you come up with. I said i was up to date, and you asked if i was up to date… Maybe read harder next time ??? @Saoiray

Seems like you’re the one with the ego problem. Saoiray is doing exactly what anyone in IT support would do, who doesn’t have explicit control of your system. Ask clear questions, get clear answers. If you don’t get a clear answer, ask again.

Anyway, nothing seems to work with modifying or updating Brave. At this point, I’m exclusively on Rumble until Youtube decides that this is a bad idea.

I never even asked a question. Neither of you have any sense, and cant read. Stop replying and wasting your own time. Guy writes a book in response to justify a misread … Not my problem. I am not responding to anymore nonsense.

I checked every part in component and it’s up to date and no other adblock but the issue still there. Is there anything i can try becasue youtube will ban me in the next 2 videos.

Thanks in advance.

Have looked through this thread and even started an account since this problem started. Have tried the suggested solutions beforehand in this thread (and forum) to no avail and have reached the point where YT will ban me in the next video.

Edit - Already got the “Ad blockers violate YouTube’s Terms of Service” screen.

On Windows 11 and unsure how to go about guide, which seems relevant only for earlier versions of WIndows.

The Guide is Now Finally Ready and can be seen in the new thread

Some of the previews from that thread…

Note: i have updated the patterns and now video blocking is more effective

More details can be seen on this Guide
