Shield indicates a tracker on support.brave.com

Shield indicates one tracker blocked on support.brave.com
Steps to reproduce:

  1. On Mac desktop browser, visit https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us
  2. View the shield UI.

Actual result:
One cross-site tracker has been blocked.

Expected result:
No cross-site trackers indicated.

Brave Version:
1.3.118 Chromium: 80.0.3987.116 (Official Build),

Additional Information:
I would not expect to find a tracker here. Seems odd.

I’ve attempted to isolate the offending request, by examining the network traffic as well as comparing the downloaded files, shields on vs shields off. I see no difference, so no luck so far. Is there a way to see what requests were blocked?

FWIW it does not reproduce for me on my Android phone using the mobile support site.

The url is https://support.brave.com/hc/tracking/events?locale=en-us Which is only an event tracker I believe… I can ask around.

Hey @mwobensmith,

This is a holdover from our usage of Zendesk Guide (which powers the Brave Help Center). This tracker auto-detects the user’s language. We aren’t technically making use of it, but it’s part of the Zendesk CMS that can’t be removed.

You can safely leave it blocked and should have no issues using the Help Center.
