Thanks for reporting – cc @fanboynz to take a look

Hi guys,

Another tracker not blocked!

Brave version: Version 1.22.67 Chromium: 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Under shields, I see: being blocked. Can you confirm?

Just made a video-test: Video Test

P.S I’m using HostsMan, but during the test it was disabled. Also, my OS version is: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit 20H2 build 19042.867.

This is a random test from another PC. The object is this website. I used MS Edge Chromium & Brave, without any extensions. I got this weird result:

Brave Version 1.22.70 Chromium: 89.0.4389.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)

MS Edge Chromium Version 85.0.564.70 (Official build) (64-bit)

As seen in the image, Brave with its Shields missed “analytics.js”! MS Edge with strict Tracking Prevention passed the test! To be surprised!

Tested with Duckduckgo Privacy Essential - Missed!
With uBlock Origin - Passed 100%

Because we use snippets (like ubO) google analytics will still show in the network

Here is from my testing (from the sample site)

  1. Chrome, uBO (with all uAssets filters enabled):
  2. Shields and uBO enabled (Note the ubO counter isn’t showing anything):
  3. Sheilds Enabled and uBO disabled:
  4. uBO enabled and Shields disabled:

It looks good for me.

Here is one enhancement; to improve reporting via devtools @tonialb

It’s okay.

I had the idea that what was blocked by shields would appear in red, all of them. I didn’t go deeper, to look at headers.
