I am using Brave browser. Brave search is my default search engine. I always search from the URL bar at the top of the browser. I ALWAYS use a VPN and never turn it off. Unfortunately, nearly every Brave search requires a 5-10 second pause to verify I’m not a robot. This is unacceptable. I’ve done searching to find out others have had similar problems but they’re being told to just “disable the VPN” as if that’s even a remotely reasonable solution. Other search engines don’t require the excessive use of human verification techniques. There are legitimate reasons to use a VPN. But before solutions can be discussed, threads get closed and no one else can respond.
This means I forced to use other search engines from now on because the constant 10 second delay between every search is unbelievably annoying.
I use Proton VPN. I use Windows 11 (updated) and Brave Browser (updated).
