Just starting today, I can’t search with Brave. The PoW captcha comes up repeatedly “Confirm you’re a human being” with a “I’m not a robot” button.
I click the button, and the captcha is still there.
The link to Switch to traditional Captcha takes me to the same PoW captcha.
No VPN is active. I am using Firefox on Windows with the Brave search. Or should I say, I was using the Brave search. Now, I have to switch so I can continue to function.
@nmarsh22 Some questions for you:
-
What country are you from?
-
Are you experiencing this from within Brave or you using a different browser?
-
Do you see any impact if you disable Shields?
-
Does this seem to happen if you try on a Private window or only in normal? (kind of wondering if it might be because of extensions)
Canada.
I had only tried Firefox for Windows as it’s my #1 browser for work.
Testing now, it’s not happening in any browser.
Bless the technology…
Thanks for your reply
Same thing here.
Every time I try to search with Brave, I have to prove I’m not a robot.
I have been using Brave for months now, without this issue.
- I live in France
- I use Brave Browser with Brave search as the default search engine
- It happens both in private and normal windows
- I use Proton VPN
