Pinned "Top Site" cannot be deleted

Description of the issue:
Once a “Top Site” has been pinned, it cannot be unpinned. Subsequently, it cannot be deleted. I cleared the history, so now the “Top Site” doesn’t even have an icon anymore.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Pin a “Top Site”
  2. Try to unpin it
  3. Try to delete it
  4. Open a new tab to the “blank” page with the “Top Sites”
  5. Start fuming because the stup1d dead link is back. Again. And again. And again…

Expected result:
I expect that I can delete a “Top Site”

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.11.104 Chromium: 84.0.4147.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
Where is this data stored? The whole draw of this browser is that you’re not supposed to be storing user information. I consider “Top Sites” to be user information. Since it’s supposed to be stored locally, perhaps someone can tell me where to find it so I can delete it myself.

Huh. Support are leaving posts on other issues. Why is my problem being ignored?

@jmo,
Sorry for the late response – can you share a screenshot of your NTP w/the pinned site in question?
