How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Open home page
2. Click “x” above top site to remove
3. Widow opens: “tops site removed” but site is not removed

Expected result: Top Site removed from home page

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.5.123

Can you make sure it’s have a different URL when you hover the tiles?

Even though the favicon is same, the URL may be different.

They are the same. Tile and URL. Correct page opens.

I saw its pinned. Can you try to unpin then remove the tile again?

That is the problem. I cannot unpin it. I cannot unpin any of the tiles. And I did not pin it in the first place. It just appeared.

So to repeat. I don’t want this site pinned or bookmarked. I want to get rid of it. I cannot find any way or action to unpin it.

That’s the problem. It won’t allow me to unpin it. In fact, I didn’t pin it in the first place.

I have this same problem: Top site on New Tab home screen refuses to unpin or delete a site

My ‘solution’ was to just remove the Top Sites and arrange the bookmarks toolbar to show the sites I wanted since there was no response from Brave.

KBT, I had a response but it didn’t seem like they understood the problem. Sigh. It’s too bad because I like the tiles.
