I’m using a Pixel 8 Phone and Windows 11, I noticed that my passwords have recently stopped syncing between devices.
Sync is working fully on Windows but on my phone it is not working. When I go into the Sync Options on mobile it first says “Before you can sync passwords, you’ll need to authenticate with your device biometrics/passcode. This extra security measure helps keep your passwords safe.” in red text below “Password”. I do as requested and authenticate with biometrics, after which it still does not activate (grey button does not change to orange). If I close the menu then reopen it then it is still not active and message in red has returned.
Steps: 1. Open Sync. 2. Open Sync Options. 3. Activate Passwords. 4. Authenticate with biometrics. 5. Passwords is not activated. This issue is permanent for me.
Brave Version: 1.71.114, Chromium 130.0.06723.58
Devices: Pixel 8a, Android 14
I just made sure Brave is updated to the newest version on both devices.
