It’s been 3 months now that I don’t get any bat when I open a new tab and I don’t have any payment on my wallet (which is not yet at 25BAT)
I also no longer get browser notification popups…
I’ve already looked around a bit, but I don’t know how to fix the problem and I wouldn’t want to lose the bats currently accumulated.
In the Windows settings, Brave notifications are enabled though.
Being in telecommuting with Covid pandemic, I use a VPN to connect to the company network (no use to change country) and I saw that it could be considered as fraudulent.
Any solution to correct the problem?

I think it’s a technical problem, more especially when you use a new tab; I would advice you to consult a technical-staff soon. This is depressing indeed.
VPNs block the refilling of the ads catalog. The Brave staff are working on a fix. Are you able to disable the VPN and connect without it for even a few minutes?
My PC is not always connected to the VPN and yet the problem persists.
I think something is corrupted or a security mechanism is blocking Brave Rewards.
How often is your PC disconnected from the VPN, and for how long? Is the PC still active during that time (not sleeping, hibernating, logged off, or shut down)?
That’s probably why. You won’t receive Brave ads while the PC is inactive, and the VPN is keeping the ads catalog from refilling. Try this:
Close Brave
Turn off your VPN
Reopen Brave
Wait until you start seeing notification ads (approximately 5-15 minutes)
Turn your VPN back on
The catalog holds only about a day’s worth of ads, so this procedure has to be done once per day. Since you turn off your VPN each night, that might be a good time to close Brave and then reopen it with the VPN off. Then leave Brave open for a while and see what happens. If you’re still not seeing ads, then something else is going on that has nothing to do with the VPN.
