Never allow associated app?

Description of the issue:

For some URLs Brave suggests to open external apps for that URL, while I might want this behaviour for some apps, I don’t want it in other cases.

When this happens, brave shows a dialog saying “website wants to open this application.”
And it has a checkbox to always open the external app.

What I would like is an option to never open the external app and never be prompted again for that specific app.

From what I understand I can disable this feature completely from “protocol handlers” but what I want is to disable it for specific apps only.

How can this issue be reproduced?

For me it happens with Slack

  1. Don’t have Slack desktop app installed
  2. Navigate to (workspace).slack.com, or click on a slack link
  3. Look at the dialog and click “Cancel”
  4. Repeat step 2. and there is no option to make the dialog go away for good

Expected result:

There should be an option to never open the app the same way there’s an option to always open the app.
(Ideally it shouldn’t even ask if the app isn’t installed at all)
