Hi!

Well my “request” is pretty much a clone of this (now closed) ticket:

Brave always asks to open external app

Every time I click a link that is supposed to open an external app like “zoom” or “figma” or “powerpoint” brave prompts to open that app. That’s great. The problem is there’s no checkbox to “remember” this setting. Is this a defect or does brave not have a way to remember this? I could have sworn this used to exist but perhaps I’m thinking of Chrome. If it’s a feature request, please add the option for me to remember how to handle certain app launchers. Thank you. I’m running Brave with settings set to wipe all history upon each exit of the program.
I’m guessing this is why it keeps “forgetting” that I have ticked to remember (for instance) allowing a eMule client to opened for ed2k:// links, so I keep having to click Allow, every damn time. I’ve looked through all settings I can think of, but haven’t found a way to just always allow…

Please help!

It seems like you may have answered your own question? If you tell Brave to open the external app and tell it to remember the choice and then you don’t erase all browsing data, does it work?
