Lost 20 BAT due to Auto-contribute getting turned on without my consent (maybe Brave Update?)

I came to post about losing 20 BAT yesterday due to auto-contribute being flipped on without my consent, and noticed another user had the same issue in this thread:

Can you reverse this transaction or replace my missing BAT?

  • Do you have multiple devices linked to your Uphold? If so, how many?
    Yes. I’m not sure how many. Is there a place for me to check this? I know I have my laptop with a few browser profiles as well as my phone.
  • Can you share a screenshot of your Contributions and Event Log tabs which can be found here brave://rewards-internals/

I have the exact same issue, can someone get into contact with me to sort this out please. Auto-contribute was off and just randomly came back on and took the 20 BAT I had.

@GreyDuck @Devil8910 - just to confirm, each of you had disabled Auto-Contribute, and then it came back on?

Hi @steeven . Yes, I had disabled auto-contribute quite a while ago, and I have not changed that setting since then. I don’t know why or how it was re-enabled, causing the 20BAT contribution.

@steeven Yes I had the exact same thing, I enquired uphold about it and they said to post on here but I saw someone else had this issue aswell. My account just said 20 BAT transferred to bravepublishers

I had encountered this same problem months ago. Back then BAT was worth lesser so I didn’t bother raising an issue. But yeah I believe this does happen.

Sent a DM with a similar issue, but there was a withdrawal from Uphold instead of from the Brave wallet.

Same deal, auto-contribute was switched on for one of my devices. I really like Brave, but would appreciate my 20 BAT back… Can you help?
