Just installed Brave. YouTube site wont load

Description of the issue: YouTube site wont load. I get YouTube’s error page that says “oops. Something went wrong.” I just installed Brave and clicked import bookmarks. I haven’t done any customizing in settings yet.

Hey OkWes,

Strange to see such issues on a fresh install, but I’ve some things to ask.

  1. Do you use a VPN?
  2. Does the site work after restarting the page multiple times?
  3. Can you go to brave://extensions/ and check for any extensions.
  4. Have you tried resetting your Brave settings or making a new profile?

Hi Adrian,

Hitting reset settings fixed the issue. I guess importing my Chrome bookmarks / settings caused the issue.
