I purchased a Brave VPN subscription on my iPhone through the App Store, and it worked fine. I then downloaded the Brave browser on my iPad, enabled the VPN, and it also worked as expected.
However, when I installed the macOS version of Brave and clicked the VPN button, I selected “Already Purchased” and entered the email I used for my iOS purchase. After clicking “Get Login Link,” I received an email with a link, which I clicked. Upon logging into my Brave macOS account, it shows my iOS email, but under “Your Plan Subscriptions,” it says I don’t have any active plans.
I’ve searched the forum and couldn’t find a solution. I would really appreciate any help, as I’ve paid for the subscription and would like to use it on my desktop as well. It seems like there’s an issue, and I’m unsure how to proceed.
Oh, yeah, it must be really obvious and I totally missed it! I’ve searched through so many forums, I can’t believe I didn’t find that answer – I must feel like a real idiot.
I tried what you suggested, went to the settings on my iOS, and attempted to link my account. However, when I click the link button from my iPhone, the Brave URL comes up blank. I’ve also tried disconnecting the VPN and switching to 5G instead of WiFi, but it still loads blank.
Do you have any other suggestions or steps I can try?
I also tried using Safari instead of Brave, and the link button loaded just fine. I entered my email from my iOS account that’s linked to it, but I still got an error that says “no receipt.”
I’m really not sure what to do at this point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hello! The first screenshot shows an attempt to login with a Private Window. The second screenshot is using Safari. Neither will work to link your subscription.
Please try logging into account.brave.com with a regular Brave browsing window. Let me know if you see an improved experience. Thanks!
